Happy 'Noon Year' Party, 10 a.m., Glenview

New Year's Eve with Kurt Elling, 8 p.m., Skokie

There are plenty of things to do on New Year's Eve, but perhaps none more rewarding than joining with friends and family to pack meals for starving kids.
