Boys Basketball: Deerpath seventh-graders finish 18-0

This team made history.

For the first time ever, the Deerpath Middle School seventh-grade boys basketball team finished the season with an undefeated record.

Coached by Eric Fine, the squad went 18-0 and claimed the Lakeside Conference.

Seeded No. 1, Deerpath earned wins over Elm Place, Carl Sandburg and Highland to win the league tourney.

The team featured Ryan Chandler, Austin Clamage, Jason Folker, Brian Heidbreder, Colin Knipe, Quinn Kuby, Ethan Madura, Jake Marwede, Justin McMahon, McKinley Shea, Reed Thomas and William Winnick. The team manager was Jackson Douglass.
