To politicians who decided to use robocalls in last week’s primary election. Nobody likes them, most people hang up when they get one and they irritate potential voters with calls made at all times of the day and night. Along with other campaign pledges, let’s see some candidates take the no-robocall pledge.
Speaking of the election, let’s see how fast those campaign signs come down after they went up so rapidly. While there is a state law that went into effect last year that says you can keep your signs up until November, let’s hope we don’t have to see too many of those eyesores for the next eight months.
We applaud the fact that everybody’s looking for ways to trim government budgets and save taxpayers money, but we sure did miss getting our “I Voted Today” stickers provided by the Lake County Clerk’s Office after casting ballots in the primary. The red-white-and-blue stickers were handed out after voting on past Election Days.
