The annual Lake Forest Country Day School Talent Show will take place at 7 p.m. on Feb. 8 in the School’s Performing Arts Center (PAC). The show is an opportunity for LFCDS students of all ages to perform a variety of creative talent, such as vocal music, theater, appropriate dance, athletics, comedy, speech, poetry and more.
Music students compete
Lake Forest Country Day School is bringing the largest group of students in recent history to Deerpath Middle School on Feb. 9, where they will perform in the 2013 Illinois Grade School Music Association’s Solo & Ensemble Contest. This annual contest provides music students an opportunity to perform for a judge and receive feedback from professional musicians and includes woodwinds, brass, percussion, piano, string and vocal events.
Open house slated
The public is invited to attend an Admissions Open House at 9 a.m. on Feb. 12 in the School’s Green Bay Atrium. The Open House is open to prospective families with children age 2 through eighth-grade, and allows for an opportunity to tour the LFCDS campus, speak with teachers and students, observe classes in session, and spend time with families from the Lake Forest Country Day School community.
