Steve Clark named executive director
Steve Clark has been named the new Executive Director of the Lake County High Schools Technology Campus to succeed Linda Jedlicka, who will be retiring after 21 years as executive director. Clark will begin his new position July 1.
Clark is currently serving as System Director/Executive Director at the DuPage Area Occupational Education System/Technology Center of DuPage in Addison, where he has been since 2009. His previous experience includes System Director/Director at Heartland Region for Employment/Decatur Area Technical Academy in Decatur from 2006 to 2009; Internship and Business Partner Coordinator at Decatur Area Technical Academy from 1998 to 2006; and Pre-Engineering/Computer Aided Design Instructor from 1985 to 1998. Clark also owned and operated Clark Enterprises in Arcola, Ill., a general contracting business focusing on custom home design and construction and light commercial construction.
Clark holds a bachelor’s degree in technology education and a master’s degree in education psychology, both from Eastern Illinois University. In addition, he has an Illinois Type 75 administrative certificate.
Located in Grayslake, the Lake County High Schools Technology Campus serves 18 school districts in Lake and McHenry counties combined. The Technology Campus is centrally located among the 22 high schools in these districts. Programs of study are offered in automotive service, building trades, culinary arts, computer support services, criminal justice, computer networking, certified nurse assisting, cosmetology, collision repair, early childhood education, emergency medical services, firefighting, graphic/web design, medical assisting, photographic design, game/java/C++ programming and welding/fabrication.
