Menu choices

Based on requests from our parents and staff for a more “kid friendly” menu, Quest Food Services now provides two elementary menus online. The regular elementary menu now lists just the basic information about the daily menu selections while the detailed one provides more descriptive information.

Art exhibit

The Everett School Art Exhibit will be held at Gallery 300 beginning Nov. 13. Select pieces will be on display to represent each grade level. The gallery hours are normally 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., but the gallery will be open during performances at the Citadel Theater.

Family night

Family reading night, sponsored by Jesse White, Illinois Secretary of State and State Librarian, is scheduled for Nov. 15. This annual statewide event encourages families to spend quality time reading together. This year’s theme is One World, Many Stories.

“Holes” presentation

The Brainstormers’ performance of “Holes” will be held Nov. 15 and 16 at 7 p.m. in the Deer Path Middle School Auditorium. Tickets are $3 at the door. Written by Louis Sacher, the performance is directed by DPM teachers Deb Smith and Christi Geidner.

Edmodo

Eighth grade parents can view all announcements regarding the Class of 2013 Activities including DPM’s Got Talent, Class Community Service Project and the Class of 2013 Graduation Dance through Edmodo. All parents signed up on Edmodo will receive Class of 2013 Activities messages only if their child has already joined the group. Additional parent announcements will soon be on the middle school’s website.

Parent/Teacher conferences will be held during the day on Nov. 20 and there will be no student attendance. All schools will be closed on Nov. 21, Nov. 22 and Nov. 23 for Thanksgiving Break.
