Updated: January 14, 2013 2:24PM

This month, East Lake Academy second-graders celebrated International Day with classmates, family, and friends. Each student presented a tradition, a trinket and a recipe from a country of their ancestors, school officials said in a press release. The students represented 11 countries from four continents. After the presentations, students and family sampled a buffet of traditional food from each country.

Second-grade teacher Carolyn Munda has been hosting International Day for her students for the past four years, the press release said.
