District 67 school notes

The Deer Path Middle School sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade orchestra will perform at Lake Forest High School at 7 p.m. Oct. 25.
Everett School’s Halloween Party will be from 4 to 5 p.m. Oct. 26 for kindergarteners through second-graders, and from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. for those in grades three and four, both at the school.
Sheridan School’s Monster Bash will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 26 at the school, according to a district press release.
Cherokee School’s Spookfest will be from 9 to 10 a.m. for kindergarteners and first-graders and from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. for second- through fourth-graders.
The seventh-grade band will perform at the Lake Forest High School Band Festival at 7 p.m. Oct. 30 at Lake Forest High School.
November board meeting
The November District 67 school board meeting will be Nov. 27 in the Board Room, Lake Forest High School West Campus, 300 S. Waukegan Road. Regular business begins at 7 p.m. An executive session may take place prior to the regular board meeting, school officials said in a press release.
Additional information and board agendas are available on the district website, www.lf67.org, as well as minutes from previous meetings. In addition, board meetings are taped and shown on Lake Forest City Channel 17 throughout the month 7 p.m. Tuesdays and 8 a.m. Wednesdays.
Punt, pass, kick
Cherokee School recently participated in the Punt, Pass, Kick program to benefit the American Diabetes Association. The Chicago Bears and the American Diabetes Association partnered to teach students the importance of physical activity and the skills of Punt, Pass & Kick while learning the value of community service through raising funds for the American Diabetes Association. Cherokee School was one of 10 schools in the greater Chicago area invited to participate. Cherokee students learned football skills, and all students in grades two through four participated during wellness classes.
