LAKE FOREST — The Lake Forest City Council is back at full capacity following the appointment of Jack Reisenberg as Third Ward alderman Monday.

Reisenberg, who resigned Monday night from his position as chairman of the Lake Forest Plan Commission, will fill the unexpired term of Don Schoenheider. Schoenheider has been acting mayor since former Mayor James Cowhey resigned in January due to an out-of-state job move.

Both Reisenberg and Schoenheider are the Lake Forest Caucus-endorsed candidates for the April 9 election. Should voters elect the two to their current positions, they will be officially sworn into office in May.

In a related move, the Lake Forest City Council appointed Michael Ley chairman of the Plan Commission.
