Forums seek input on Lake County’s future
Updated: February 5, 2013 11:18AM
Lake County residents can share their thoughts on topics including transportation, economic development, sustainability and public safety in a series of countywide forums.
The Lake County Board is holding five community forums where residents can help shape policy and budget decisions, and influence where the county will focus its resources.
The County Board will consider the input as it develops a long-term strategic plan.
Each forum will include an open house from 6 to 7 p.m. offering informational displays where attendees can learn about county services and programs.
The interactive forums will begin at 7 p.m., and will be held on the following dates:
• Feb. 27, Lake County Permit Facility, 500 W. Winchester Road, Libertyville.
• March 5, Antioch Township Multi-Purpose Building, 1625 Deep Lake Road, Lake Villa.
• March 6, Trinity International University-Melton Hall (Waybright Center), 2065 Half Day Road, Deerfield.
• March 12, Lake County Health Department, 3010 Grand Ave., Waukegan.
• March 13, Lakewood Forest Preserve, 27277 N. Forest Preserve Road (Route 176 and North Fairfield Road), Wauconda.
