Police blotter
The following incidents were listed in the official reports of the Lake Forest Police Department. Reades are reminded that an arrest by police does not constitute a finding of guilt; only a court of law can make that determination.
Lake Forest
MINOR ALCOHOL
Joshua Serbin, 18, 347 South Basswood Road, Lake Forest, was charged Thursday, Jan. 3, with consumption of alcohol by a minor. He faces a Feb. 13 administrative hearing.
Vicente Reyes, 19, 6333 24th Ave., Kenosha; Melinda Tobias, 19, 6637 18th Ave., Kenosha; and Dimitrius Williams, 19, 5502 60th St., Kenosha were charged Saturday, Dec. 22, with possession of alcohol by a minor following a traffic stop at Route 41 at Gage Lane. They face a Jan. 22 court appearance.
Joshua Poncedelon, 20, 11123 S. Avenue C, Chicago, was charged Thursday, Dec. 20, with consumption of alcohol by a minor. He faced a Jan. 9 court appearance.
CANNABIS
Derrick Contreras, 21, 410 Good Ave., Des Plaines, was charged Thursday, Jan. 3, with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop at Westleigh and Ridge roads at 11:19 a.m. He faces a Feb. 5 court date.
DUI
Ernesto Hernandez, 38, 853 Adam St., Waukegan, was charged Tuesday, Dec. 25, with aggravated driving under the influence (Class 2 felony), driving while license reoked for DUI (Class 4 felony) and endangering the life of a child fojllowing a one-car accident on Route 41 south of Westleigh Road at 5:29 p.m. He was held overnight for a bond hearing and was scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 4.
AGGRAVATED BATTERY
Robert O’Leary, 50, 214 Park Ave., Libertyville, was charged Friday, Dec. 21, with aggravated battery (Class 3 felony) at the Lake Forest Train Station, 911 S. Telegraph Road, when he threw his bicycle at a Metra employee and punched a second worker. O’Leary was held overnight for a bond hearing and was scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 7.
