Township election petitions available

LAKE BLUFF ­— Petition packets for the April 9, 2013, Shields Township election are vailable.

Offices to be filled for four-year terms include supervisor, assessor, highway commissioner, clerk, and four trustee positions.

Those who might be interested in seeking Shields Township offices may obtain petition packets by downloading them from the Shields Township website, www.shieldstownship.com, or by contacting Shields Township Clerk David Barkhausen. He can be reached by e-mail, dbarkhausen@shieldstownship.com, or phone ­— (847) 482-1605 or (847) 234-0802.

Petitions can be circulated from Sept. 25 to Dec. 24 and must be filed with the office of the Shields Township Clerk, 906 W. Muir Ave., Lake Bluff, between Dec. 17 and Dec. 24.
