Lake Forest blotter for week of Sept. 10

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Lake Forest Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.
LAKE FOREST
MINOR ALCOHOL/SOCIAL HOSTING
Police were called to 80 Sheridan Road at 11:50 p.m. Sept. 1 for a noise complaint and found a party where 22 individuals under the age of 21 allegedly had consumed alcohol. Charged with underage drinking were: Natalie Literski, 18, 126 Hawthorn Lane, Glenview; Cameron Munson, 19, 15 Upper Ardmore Road, Larksburg, Calif.; Emily Wybo, 19, 1145 Kensington Ave., Grosse Pointe, Mich.; John Preston, 20, 215 Cram Road, San Burton, N.H.; Jenna Polandian, 19, 542 N. Lemai, Lincolnwood; Caitlin Shetterley, 19, 1030 Silverbell Road, Rochester, Mich.; Ryan Flynn, 18, 42 Mill Road, Morris Plains, N.J.; Rachel Lertzman, 18, 9601 Van Alden, North Ridge, Calif.; Marissa Ruiz, 20, 1208 W. 33rd Place, Chicago; Michael Garetto-Balmer, 20, 61 Silo Ridge South, Orland Park; Mindy Runge, 20, 21565 W. Eldor Ave., Grayslake; Kyle Lee Sands, 18, 4501 Declaration Lane, Madison, Wis.; Amber Craghead, 19, 22 Pleasant Court, Auburn, N.H.; Bryan Donahue, 20, 303 Canfield, Atlanta; Jared Russ, 18, 373 Ridge Road, Horseheads, N.Y.; Torey Crown, 18, 37927 Mallast, Harrison Township, Mich.; Kendal Solon, 18, 12020 Grand River Drive, Lowell, Mich.; Michael Lewis, 20, 12580 Grandville Canyon Way, Oro Valley, Ariz.; Brooke Perkins, 19, 333 Vine St., Denver; Taylor Bradbury, 19, 212 Somerset Drive, Sugar Grove; Alec Howe, 20, 16072 Waterleaf, Spring Lake, Mich.; and a 17-year-old female juvenile from West Chicago. In addition, Casey Flynn, 22, and Justin Smith, 21, both of 80 N. Washington Road, Lake Forest, were charged with social hosting. All are scheduled to appear at the city’s Administrative Hearing at Lake Forest City Hall on Oct. 10.
MINOR ALCOHOL
Lake Forest College security called for an ambulance due to an intoxicated subject on campus in the 500 block of Sheridan Road at 1 a.m. Sept. 1. Police found Miles Van Denberg, 19, 555 Sheridan Road, Lake Forest, who, according to the police report, said he had consumed three to four beers and a mystery purple drink while being under age 21. He was charged with underage drinking and is scheduled to appear at the city’s Administrative Hearing at Lake Forest City Hall on Oct. 10.
Lake Forest College security called police for a non-student providing false information on campus in the 500 block of Sheridan at 11:54 p.m. Aug. 24. Tyler Hogstrom, 20, 55 Merrill Drive, Killington, Vt., was found to be under age 21 and had consumed and was in possession of alcohol. He was charged with underage drinking and underage possession of alcohol and was scheduled to appear at the city’s Administrative Hearing in Lake Forest City Hall on Sept. 12.
DRINKING IN PUBLIC PLACE
Police were called to the 400 block of College Road at 11:54 p.m. Sept. 2 about an allegedly intoxicated subject who took a bicycle from a girl thinking it was his. Police located William Haberland, 53, 499 College Road, Lake Forest, who police say had in his possession an open bottle of vodka while walking on the sidewalk. Haberland was charged with drinking in a public place and is scheduled to appear at the city’s Administrative Hearing in Lake Forest City Hall Oct. 10.
DUI
David Wawrzniak, 26, 121 S. Central Ave., Highwood, was charged Aug. 25 with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, driving without insurance, driving under the influence and driving with a blood-alcohol concentration over .08 percent. His court date is Oct. 9.
