• Come join in the conversation about how to cope with chronic illness as presented by the Reverend Emily Rosencrans, chaplain and manager of Pastoral Care, Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital, at the Stephen Ministry Continuing Education program on Jan. 28 at the First Presbyterian Church of Lake Forest. Meet at 10 a.m. in the parlor; discussion starts at 10:30 a.m.

• Thursday Morning Scripture Study meets from 9:30 a.m.-11 a.m. Feb. 16 through May 2012 in the Parish Center of St. Patrick Church, 950 W. Everett, Lake Forest.
