Marty Walsh jokingly promised not to sing the theme song at “Just the Two of Us,” 6:30-8:30 p.m. Friday, March 2, at the Sullivan Community Center, 635 N. Aspen Drive.
“It’s an evening for girls and their special dates,” the Vernon Hills Park District’s recreation supervisor said. “They can bring their father, their grandfather, uncle or any significant male in their life.”
Their special guest has to be at least 18 years old.
Girls and their guys will dance to music provided by a DJ, who also will lead games and contests. There will be a make-your-own-sundae bar and a photographer will take photos of the couples.
“Each girl will receive a special keepsake gift to remember the evening,” Walsh said.
Tickets are $20 per couple for residents, $25 for nonresidents; $10 and $12 per additional child. The event sells out each year so register early.
