Woodlands Academy teacher has two plays accepted to theatre festival in NYC

Woodlands Academy English teacher Doug DuBrin brings two of his Midtown International Theatre Festival accepted plays to Lake Forest College.  According to the following press release:

Local playwright and high school English teacher recently had two of his plays accepted to this month’s Midtown International Theatre Festival in New York, NY. (www.midtownfestival.org). The first, Check Mates, is a ten-minute comedy forming part of a collection of shorts at the fest (the “short-play lab”); the second, Saganaki Serenade, is a one-act “existential farce” featured in the event’s regular program.

Before their New York shows, the cast will perform a free preview at Lake Forest College.
