LAKE BLUFF — There will be 14 positions up for grabs in Lake Bluff in the April 9, 2013 election.
Five are seats on the Lake Bluff Village Board and six are Lake Bluff Library Trustee positions.
The V.O.T.E. (Volunteers Organized To Elect) Lake Bluff Committee has slated candidates for all but two of the open positions.
All Lake Bluff residents who are eligible to vote in April are invited to a meeting at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 4, in the gymnasium at Lake Bluff Middle School, located at 31 E. Sheridan Place.
The full slate of candidates will be presented, nominations will be taken from the floor and candidates will participate in a Q-and-A session. To submit questions for consideration, email info@votelakebluff.org.
The slated candidates for Village Board are Kathy O’Hara for village president, William Meyer, John Josephitis and Eric Grenier for trustee and Barbara Ankenman for village clerk. O’Hara and Josephitis currently serve as trustees, while Meyer currently serves as clerk.
For Library Board, the candidates are Tim Kregor, Romain Wojda, Carole Stroh and Ruth Schnell. Kregor, Wojda and Stroh currently serve as trustees and are seeking four-year terms. Schnell has served as a trustee in the past and is seeking a two-year term.
Two Library Board Trustee positions are yet to be slated and the V.O.T.E. Lake Bluff Committee is seeking individuals interested in those seats.
The slated candidates’ endorsement will depend on a vote by the meeting’s attendees.
